| European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network-ECRIN | |

The European Union Clinical Research Networks (ECRIN) is a non-profit organization that supports multinational clinical research projects and their sustainability in Europe. It provides information and consultancy services to researchers and sponsors in the preparation and execution of clinical trials. In Turkey, ECRIN is represented by the Turkish Clinical Research Infrastructures Network (TUCRIN), which operates as a center affiliated with Dokuz Eylül University. The agreement with ECRIN includes cooperation with TUCRIN on designing sub-processes to determine strategies for achieving European equivalency for projects, research, and initiatives carried out in Turkey; supporting, coordinating, and managing multinational clinical research independently and transparently; expanding the clinical research network; and in this context, integrating the TUCRIN national contact point with Bioİzmir. http://www.ecrin.org |

Turkey’s representation in the International Consortium of Biological Resource Banks (Biobanking and Biomolecular Resources Research Infrastructure (BBMRI) as a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC)), established in the health sector with the support of the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union, is through the biobank located within the Izmir Biomedical and Genome Center. Turkey has been integrated into the Biobank Infrastructure Network, considered one of the most important projects in the European Union’s Health Research Infrastructures.
